NOT BAD!
I'd like to say that this wasn't that bad of an idea... albeit a song way overplayed... but it was good none the less. Thank you for actually spending my time trying to figure out my keyboard! YAY!

Yeah...
Whomever you stole the breaking animation from, stole if from the NES version of Rampage. That was a great game.
Yeah... I guess a character select screen would be ok... but the fact that there aren't any easter eggs in it kinda shot my score in the foot. It wasn't really a "game" as it was more just an interactive, slightly on the boring side, cartoon.
Reasonings for Score:
------------------------------
Graphics: They were sprites that looked a LOT like they were just animated gifs on a webpage back in 1995. I think they could have been more fluid.
Style: This category goes to the perception of the whole visual, not just the graphics. I think that it fit together, kinda... the little dude was not exactly fitting, though. It would have been better as a small Iraqi dude, or an american soldier... or something.
Sound: All I have to say is WTF? Get yourself Fruity Loops, and get an actual song out there.
Violence: In reality, it wasn't violent. But I'll give you a point for the shattering of a statue.
Interactivity: Every stike was controlled by you, though I think that having different types of strikes and effects would have brought this rating way up.
Humor: It wasn't exactly that funny as it was more "I'm doing this cause I want to give it a fair shot." In fact, if the sound was more "on purpose" it probably would have been more funny.
Overall: A 3. A THREE!?!? Wow. That's a harsh score, is probably what you're saying. And I agree... but I don't think it's unfair.
It could be better, and you know it. So I have faith that you can do it. Come on!
A good attempt.
This was a cool idea, but without the ability to know exactly how much power you're putting into your swing, nor the ability to see where you're target should be in general (in some levels) it's kinda a lose/lose situation. I can see where the others are getting frustrated.
Keep working at this and you MIGHT have something... otherwise? Just use your physics, and create a flash version of Scorched Earth. Ah... the good old days.
Good game... but...
It's freakin' impossible. Even with blocking, most opponents just block forever. You can't get through their block and have enough time to block yourself. The guys with the mushroom caps for heads with the staves with hooks... all the do is sit and glow. By the time you kill both of them, you're at least at a third of your power. The ninjas in level three are the same way. I gave up... gave you good ratings, then dropped the overall to nothing because I didn't have any fun. Try again.
Well...
I never really liked this game to begin with... but I did appreciate the remake, ALONG with the ability to play is classic style... but one thing that got me as odd... wasn't there originally like three floating sheilds? Unless that was a different game or something. :(
It was sweet, though. Seeing an old-school game get a flash revamp. I just wish that there were more power-ups in the 2002 version. Maybe make a 2004 version with a whole mess of weird things you can get out of the mother ship...
What happened to my arms!!?!?
After I knocked Iron Mike on his ass the first time, I started throwing punches wildly, then he got angry his eye flashed red, and then my arms disappeared! That's BS! NO FAIR! YOU CAN'T WIN!!!
It's not that it was a badly designed game... it's that you can't possibly win without getting your arms ripped off.
That's not fair... make a fair ending, and maybe I'll play this again.
Bruhahah!!!
One of the slickest and coolest games I've played on NG in a while. The RPG itself was short... but it had humor coming out of everywhere, the one scene of nudity was cool, albeit not necessary for me to give this a good rating. The only thing that was kinda lame was the fact that you hit the bad guy once and you win. But I guess all the puzzles just to get the weapons were frustrating anough... without being ridiculously hard.
One thing, though... I noticed in the title screen it's called "Legends of Hiro" Legends... with an "s"... Does this truly mean sequel?
I hope so.
The graphics rocked. The music sucked, and didn't really fit the humorous nature of the game, though. I think should get some voice actors also. That'd be sweet.
Thanks for the review!
Yeah, there will be sequels, until the Legend is over ^_^
Voice actors? Don´t exactly know where to get good ones... but I´ll try ^_^
For what it's worth...
I thought it was cute. When I have a kid and it comes to his first day of shaving, this would be the way I teach him. :)
But instead of doing dopey things like this... I think you should go back to the Terrain series and continue that!
WHOA!
I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!! FINISH THE THIRD ONE! This is one of the best games I've ever played on Newgrounds!
I swear, you should give this idea some more thought and possibly go into true developement of it. Then again, if this was like an interactive TV show, like it is now... it could garner you a true fanbase!
I don't know... maybe make up like six episode seasons, and a season or two each year, putting as much time and effort as you've put into these two. I seriously think you're on to something here... and I don't want to be left out of it! :)
I am the terror that flaps in the night. I am the dog that licks the water from your toilet bowl! I AM DARKWING... erm... I am Jaeboy.
